°´Ç³ó±ô’s announced Tuesday its ÂÒÂ×ÄÚÉä location has opened a Babies “R†Us section.
The clothing department store at 222 RHL Blvd. in ÂÒÂ×ÄÚÉä, will now feature baby gear, activity, bath, furniture, feeding and safety while complementing °´Ç³ó±ô’s existing assortment of baby apparel.
“With the addition of Babies ‘R’ Us at °´Ç³ó±ô’s, expecting and experienced parents will now be able to shop a curated assortment of trusted baby brands, including thousands of new products across 90 brands in-store and online,†the company said in a news release.
°´Ç³ó±ô’s said it is also introducing “Motherhood†as its new, exclusive in-store maternity brand, which offers expecting mothers retail options.
The company said it will continue adding Babies “R†Us shopping sections over the next few months until all 200 planned sections are open sometime this fall.
Par Mar Stores to break ground on new ÂÒÂ×ÄÚÉä location
After months of planning, Par Mar Stores announced Tuesday it’s ready to break ground on a new ÂÒÂ×ÄÚÉä location.
According to Par Mar Stores Director of Community Relations Dave Allen, the new convenience store will be built at 306 MacCorkle Avenue, SE, in ÂÒÂ×ÄÚÉä, just across the Kanawha River from Haddad Riverfront Park.
The groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday, Allen said.
The Par Mar Stores Company is based in Marietta, Ohio. The company operates 236 stores in West Virginia, Kentucky, Ohio, Maryland, Pennsylvania and Virginia.
New bubble tea shop opening in South ÂÒÂ×ÄÚÉä
A new bubble tea shop is having its grand opening soon.
Shake Your Boba, located at Riverwalk Plaza in South ÂÒÂ×ÄÚÉä, is hosting a grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony at 10 a.m., Monday.
Bubble tea, also known as boba tea, is a cold, frothy drink that typically includes tea, milk, sweetener and tapioca balls (or boba) at the bottom.
Shake Your Boba, owned and operated by Kersey Mata and his wife Catyren, is open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Saturday.

W.Va. Chamber elects board chair, members
The membership of the West Virginia Chamber of Commerce elected its board chairperson to serve until the 2025 annual membership meeting, the organization announced in a news release.
Maribeth Anderson, director of government relations at Antero Resources Corporation, was elected to the position at the 88th annual meeting last week.
Anderson is the previous vice-chair of the Chamber’s board of directors, and is the third woman elected to the role.
“At every turn, the Chamber works for a prosperous and vibrant West Virginia and I’m eager to keep working with this talented group of leaders,†Anderson said in the release. “As a native and lifelong West Virginian, it’s gratifying to see the track record of policy successes that entice businesses to build and grow right here in our state.â€
Anderson succeeds Susan Lavenski, CEO of Charles Ryan Associates.
In addition, seven new members were elected to the board of directors, including:
