Cabin Creek Health Systems held a grand opening Wednesday for its newest facility, the Westside Health Center on ÂÒÂ×ÄÚÉä’s West Side.
About 100 Cabin Creek staff, city officials and others attended the event.
In her remarks, CCHS CEO Amber Crist emphasized the organization’s long-standing commitment to accessible, high-quality care, especially in underserved areas, according to a news release. Jake Van Horn, CCHS’ community impact officer, detailed at the event the health system’s vision for continuing that mission by meeting the needs of the community and better health outcomes.

The Westside Health Center, which has been in operation since last fall, operates at a site that once housed a grocery store, and then a post office. The 22,000-square-foot facility features:
Medical and dental rooms
Community room
Fitness center
Supervised childcare area
Space for social service providers
Addiction treatment center
Behavioral health resources
Pharmacy
Cabin Creek Health Systems is a Federally Qualified Health Center, meaning it finds a way to care for every patient, regardless of insurance status.
