After a day of riding utility terrain vehicles Saturday with friends on the trails around Kelleys Creek in the Upper Kanawha Valley, the group ascended a hill to the Pratt Overlook for a view of the valley.
It's a popular spot for side-by-side riders and is part of the trail system that surrounds the Kelleys Creek area.
At one point during the late afternoon stop, LuAnn Wright of ÂÒÂ×ÄÚÉä, was photographed by family friend Olivia Goodpaster, 15, of Milton, on the rock outcropping above Hugheston. The town of Pratt could be seen in the background on the south bank of the Kanawha River.
The overlook is the high point of a powerline path that descends from the northeast to the southwest, traveling down to the river.
