The Kanawha County Commission is stocking the Elk River and Pettigrew Lake with trout, catfish and bass this spring at two free events.
Elk River, Clendenin: 9 a.m.
Saturday at the foot of Maywood Avenue; later in the day at Blue Creek
Pettigrew Lake, Tornado: 9 a.m. May 10 at Meadowood Park, 292 Pettigrew Lane
There will be 1,000 pounds of fish at each location from Indian Lake Fisheries.
People who want to fish will need a fishing license, which can be purchased online at WVDNR.gov/Buy-A-License.
