- Career Resource Fair: The ÂÒÂ×ÄÚÉä Job Corps Center will host a free career resource fair from 1 to 5 p.m. at the CJCC, 1000 Curtis Price Way, one mile east of the state Capitol off Kanawha Boulevard in ÂÒÂ×ÄÚÉä. The CJCC offers comprehensive training and education across seven trades and career skills. Career Resource Fair attendees will have the opportunity to explore the 15-acre Job Corps Center through guided tours, engage with current students and interact with staff members, including Center Executive Director Derrick Thomas. The CJCC offers specialized training in carpentry, painting, HVAC, network cabling, facilities maintenance, medical office support, and office administration. All training and educational programs are funded by the U.S. Department of Labor. The campus is composed of four dormitories, a fully equipped cafeteria, a gymnasium and recreation area, a dedicated medical clinic, a driver’s education track, and a classroom building for high school diploma, reading and math education classes.
