  • Lunch & Learn Program: Diamond United Methodist Church, 300 Nancy Ave. in Diamond, will host a free Lunch and Learn program, featuring Kanawha Pastoral Counseling Center Clinical Director Kathy Muscari, Ph.D., at noon on Wednesday, April 10. Muscari will provide an overview of services available from the KPCC and offer tips from Mind-Body Medicine. Lunch is also free.   • Second-Friday Gospel Sing: Hurricane First Church of God will host its monthly Second-Friday Gospel Sing at 7 p.m. on Friday, April 12. The Waymarks Quartet from East Huntington will be the featured group. Additional singers will include Randy Parsons from Buffalo and Jim Edens from Mink Shoals. Church staff musicians and singers are Gary Sargent, Peggy Cooper, Eddie Rushbrooke, Matt Boggs, and Dorsey Johnson. Offering a variety of Italian food items, a time of fellowship will follow immediately after the sing.   • The Believers: The Believers gospel group will sing during a 7 p.m. revival service on Friday, April 12, at Crossroads Community Church on Martins Branch Road in Sissonville. On Sunday, April 14, The Believers will sing at Pleasant View Church on Fisher Ridge Road in Jackson County during the 10 a.m. service and at the Little Sandy Baptist Church on Little Sandy Road in Elkview at 6 p.m.
  • Indoor Yard Sale-A-Rama: The Cross Lanes United Methodist Women will host an Indoor Yard Sale-A-Rama from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 20, in the Family Living Center at 5320 Frontier Drive in Cross Lanes. The event will include a bake sale and breakfast and lunch items for sale. More than 50 10-foot-by-10-foot spaces are available to rent for $25 per space or $30 for a space with a table. Vendors can keep all of their profits. Vendor applications are available on the CLUMC Facebook page or by calling or texting 304-415-3194 or 304-415-2483. The deadline to submit applications is April 15.
  • Bless You Day: Community Bridge will have a Bless You Day program from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 20. All items will be free, including children’s items, clothing, shoes, and household and miscellaneous items. A free lunch will also be offered. Bless You Day will take place in the back parking lot of King’s River Worship Center, 777 Mallory Lane in St. Albans. The Community Bridge Family Resource Center, 30 Mallory Lane in St. Albans, also provides open walk-ins from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the third Saturday of each month.   • ‘Tornado Spring Sing’: Humphreys Memorial United Methodist Church, 7799 Coal River Road in Tornado, will host a “Tornado Spring Sing” from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 20, on the church lawn. Bring a donation of canned food, a blanket, and/or a lawn chair for a day of music, fun and fellowship. Lunches will be available for purchase.   • Gabriel Project: The Gabriel Project at Highlawn Presbyterian Church offers infant and baby care items from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursdays at the church at 2501 Washington Ave. in St. Albans. Available items include clothing for newborn to 12 months and some apparel for 18 months to 2T. A variety of formulas, diapers, toiletries, and baby food are also stocked. Portable cribs and car seats are available for a donation of $15 each. Expectant mothers can pick up a well-stocked layette bag two to three weeks before their due dates.   • Canaan Music Mondays: Singers and musicians are welcome to visit Canaan Missionary Baptist Church, 1919 Bigley Ave. in ÂÒÂ×ÄÚÉä, at 6 p.m. every Monday for gospel singing and playing. Regular services are held at the church at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sundays and 6 p.m. Wednesdays.
  • Baby Love Pantry: The Baby Love Pantry at Cross Lanes United Methodist Church will distribute free diapers and wipes, as well as formula when available, on designated Fridays from 10:30 a.m. until noon. No income limits are required to receive items, but proof of the child’s existence and an I.D. for the adult getting supplies are required. Drive-through pickup of items can be made in the upper parking lot of CLUMC, 5320 Frontier Drive in Cross Lanes. April 19 is the next distribution date. For more information, call 304-776-3081.   • Littles Program: The Littles program meets from 10:30 until 11:15 a.m. Fridays at First Presbyterian Church, 201 Kanawha Terrace in St. Albans. Open to infants up to age 5 and their caregivers, free activities include story times, crafts, play time, and snacks. The program will not be conducted on days when there is no school in session or school is on a two-hour delay. For more information, phone 304-727-2241.
  • St. Albans Baby Pantry: The Little Blessings Baby Pantry offers free baby items to mothers in need, including diapers, formula, clothes, blankets, and more. The pantry is open from 10:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. on the second and fourth Wednesdays of every month at 519 Holley St. in St. Albans, next to St. Francis of Assisi School.   • ‘Set Free’ Series: Pastor Randy Carter, with Set Free Ministries, is preaching a series on “What America and the True Church Needs Today.” Set Free Ministries airs on the CW channel at 8 a.m. Sundays and can be viewed on Direct TV and Dish network channel 30 and Optimum channel 6.
