2 found dead after Huntington police respond to reported stabbing

There, officers discovered two people dead inside a residence, Watkins said in a statement to media.

It is unclear if both people died from stab wounds, and initial attempts to get clarification from the city of Huntington on the causes of death were unsuccessful, as well as attempts to get information on whether anyone has been charged in the incident or if the HPD is looking for a suspect. Watkins’ Saturday statement said there was no apparent threat to the general public or the surrounding community.

The incident is under investigation by HPD detectives and forensic investigators. Watkins said additional information would be released as the investigation proceeds.
