West Virginia Delegate Bill Flanigan and retired Circuit Court Judge H.L. Kirkpatrick have won their elections to the division 2 and division 1 seats on the West Virginia Supreme Court, beating out Gov. Patrick Morrisey’s picks for the seats. 

As of around 10:25 p.m. Tuesday, when the Associated Press called the race, Flanigan had pulled in 112,890 votes, over Justice Thomas Ewing, whom Morrisey appointed to the role in August. Ewing had 81,296 votes with 91% of votes counted Tuesday night.
