Buckhannon, West Virginia July 2026 floods

The National Weather Service has confirmed at least three tornadoes touched down in West Virginia during the July 21 storms. 

One confirmed tornado went from St. Marys in Pleasants County into Doddridge County, said Simone Lewis, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in ÂÒÂ×ÄÚÉä. Another tornado that originated in Washington County, Ohio, is believed to have also dropped down in Pleasants County on Tuesday, but that has not been confirmed, Lewis said.
