Iran War

What is really happening with U.S. military strikes in Iran? Unfortunately, the conflict is following an all-too-familiar pattern when it comes to informing the public. American presidents and top officials have often lied to the public about armed conflicts.

In 1971, the Pentagon Papers came to light, shocking the nation by revealing a series of presidential administrations had lied to the public about U.S. military action in Vietnam and the surrounding region. The main takeaways were that the war effort in Vietnam was far larger than the public had been told and the United States did not have a path to victory.
