Elk Valley Christian scored six runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to blow open a game it led by just one run entering the bottom of the third inning.

Earlier Thursday, the Eagles topped Greater Beckley Christian 3-2, scoring the game-winning run in the bottom of the sixth inning.

HIGH POINT 4, CHARLESTON 3: The Rockers won in walk-off fashion on Friday night on Martin Figueroa’s RBI single to plate Ryan Grotjohn.

The Dirty Birds led 3-1 through six and a half innings before High Point tallied the last three runs at Truist Point in High Point, North Carolina.

Gabriel Cancel, Juan Santana and Courtney Hawkins each had two hits for ÂÒÂ×ÄÚÉä. Hawkins homered and doubled and drove in two runs.

Joan Martinez took the loss. He faced three batters and retired none, allowing a run on two hits and a walk.

Gavin Johns had three hits and Grotjohn added two for the Rockers. Johns knocked in two runs.

Austin Ross got the win in relief, working a scoreless inning and pitching around two hits, with two punchouts.
