Atlantic League baseball: Lexington takes another from Dirty Birds

Lexington starter Colton Eastman saw to it with six innings of three-hit ball and 10 strikeouts.

The Dirty Birds (21-31 second half, 51-64 overall) scored a run in the first inning and another in the second to lead 1-0 and 2-1 before Lexington (27-25 second half, 58-57 overall) tallied five unanswered to pull away.

Of ÂÒÂ×ÄÚÉä’s three hits, two were home runs – solo shots by Alsander Womack and Alan Alonso.

Starter Luis de Avila took the decision for the Dirty Birds, yielding four runs, all earned, on six hits in six frames. He fanned five Legends and walked none.

Xane Washington and Andy Atwood had two hits apiece for Lexington. Atwood scored twice. Curtis Terry and Ronnie Dawson each drove in two runs. Dawson supplied a home run.

Eastman allowed two runs in getting the win. He walked two Dirty Birds.
