After less than six months on the market, the building housing TC Energy’s offices in Kanawha City has been sold.
Eliott Borris, broker of Vandalia Real Estate in ÂÒÂ×ÄÚÉä, announced the sale of the building and property at 1700 MacCorkle Avenue, SE in ÂÒÂ×ÄÚÉä last week.
According to property records, Larry Haddad Associates of ÂÒÂ×ÄÚÉä is the former owner of the property. Documents on file with the Kanawha County Assessor’s office indicate the property was sold on Feb. 28 to Active 55 LLC for $14,000,000.
Commonly known as the Columbia Gas Building, the property’s campus has been the home of oil and gas companies for decades. It was originally built in the 1950s for United Fuel Gas Company and is currently fully leased to TC Energy.
Last month, TC Energy announced its plan to move its offices to a new building at the site of the former CASCI building in downtown ÂÒÂ×ÄÚÉä. Construction is expected to be complete in 2025 with employees moving in by 2026.
Active 55 LLC is based in South ÂÒÂ×ÄÚÉä, and the Haddad company is a ÂÒÂ×ÄÚÉä-based real estate and leasing company.
