Kurt Russell delivered one of the most iconic speeches in sports movie history in the hockey film "Miracle."
Russell, acting as 1980 U.S. Olympic men's hockey coach Herb Brooks, said, "Great moments are born from great opportunity."
High school football teams across the Kanawha Valley and West Virginia are putting together final preparations to create moments that could lead to state titles.
We'll see how much those preparations will work out when the season kicks off statewide on Thursday.
Here's my take on a few questions remaining to be answered ahead of the season.
What will Hoover look like?
Herbert Hoover enjoyed its best season ever in 2024, winning a program-record 13 games.
The Huskies fell in the Class AAA state final to Bridgeport, 49-7.
Quarterback Dane Hatfield's play in large part led the Huskies, as he broke just about every school record.
A question inside the actual question is, how will new quarterback Peyton Grigsby put his own spin on the offense?
I saw the Huskies compete in a scrimmage against Huntington last Thursday and was impressed in certain areas.
Skill position players like Blake Fisher, Kno'sean Hampton, MyKell Taylor and Sam Kee stood out against the Highlanders.
That group will be the backbone for how far Hoover goes in 2025.
How will Riverside respond?
The 2024 season didn't go the way the Warriors or coach Heath Huffman would've wanted it to go.
The Warriors won one game last season, their first under in Huffman.
How Riverside looked in the preseason, compared to what I saw of the Warriors last year, was a night-and-day difference.
Huffman was the first to admit he learned a lot in his first season with the Warriors.

"You don't know what you don't know," Huffman said. "Humbling last year. [I] come in and thought we were going to try something different, and it backfired completely. It did not work at all. We're going back to the basics and going back to what I've done the last eight to nine years I've been coaching.
"So far, the kids are buying in. It's really turned out well."
Riverside will be a team to watch as they try to turn things around in Class AAAA.
Which first-year coach will have the most success?
Buffalo, Hurricane, Sissonville and South ÂÒÂ×ÄÚÉä are all under new leadership.
The Black Eagles brought back former coach Donnie Mays after he was at Hurricane for three seasons.
The Redskins are the lone program among that group coming off a winning season. The Bison won four games last year and the Indians and Black Eagles were each winless for a second straight campaign.
Will Nitro live up to the hype?
The Wildcats saw their most success in 17 years in 2024, winning 10 games and picking up their first playoff victory since 2007.
Nitro then said goodbye to key players, among them quarterback Josh Moody and running back Eli Littlejohn.
The Wildcats do bring back wideout Malachi Thompson, a WVU commit, and Xavier Patterson, who's receiving Division I interest.
DaRon Parks, Chris Radcliffe and Eian Duffy are among a handful of transfers into Nitro.
So, you're looking at what projects as Nitro's most talented squad since its best seasons between 1996-2008.
The Wildcats will try to get back to the state title game for the first time since 2005 and are hunting for their first title since 1998.
Are they worth the hype? With all that talent, the immediate answer is yes, but time will tell how they will jell.
Closing thoughts
The ending of Russell's aforementioned speech in "Miracle"Â gives this motivation: "This is your time. Now go out there and take it."
Coaches and players, good luck this season and enjoy every moment.
