The opposition couldn’t be clearer — and it was heeded.

The planning commission for Fredericksburg, Virginia, on Dec. 10 considered an effort to change the zoning from a medical center category to industrial for a data center project — after a nearly four-hour meeting in which residents of the city some 50 miles south of Washington, D.C., uniformly condemned the application.
