Two young survivors share their story and push for pediatric cancer research

Their mission is urgent. Nearly 15,000 children and teens are diagnosed with cancer in the United States each year, and while survival rates have improved, cancer remains the leading cause of death by disease among children. A new survey shows that 81% of Americans believe private funding for pediatric cancer research is more important than ever.

One of the leaders in this effort is the nonprofit Hyundai Hope On Wheels. For 27 years, the organization has funded research, raised awareness, and brought hope to families. Since its founding, it has donated $277 million and awarded 1,400 research and program grants to more than 175 medical institutions across the country.

By sharing their stories, Emmy and Jackson are helping to put a face on the statistics, inspiring others to get involved and showing that together, more children can survive and thrive.
