WV Senate committee takes up bill to eliminate greyhound subsidy

In a May 15 op-ed published by the Gazette-Mail, Jon Decker, a career think-tanker, put forth some claims that West Virginians might understandably find irksome. 

Decker made the pitch that greyhound racing shouldn't be banned in West Virginia — the last state in which the sport is active — because West Virginians don't have much else to look forward to.
