A Culloden man — who while driving under the influence of drugs caused the deaths of two women in a St. Albans vehicle wreck in 2022 — was given the maximum sentence for his crime on Tuesday.

Andrew Wyrick, 26, killed Dotty Lou Hayes, 73, and her daughter, Sherri L. McClanahan, 53, in October 2022 in a vehicle crash on MacCorkle Avenue near Winfield Road in St. Albans. Wyrick pleaded guilty in March to two counts of driving under the influence causing death.
