Kayla Kessinger of Mount Hope, who represented Fayette County in the House of Delegates from 2015 through 2022, was named the state’s new Secretary of Tourism and Arts and History on Tuesday by Gov. Patrick Morrisey.

Morrisey introduced Kessinger in her new role during a news conference at the Capitol, saying she will assume her new position “during a unique place in time to tell the story of our state†and will help “make tourism an even more central part of our economic growth.â€
